This year at its third edition, the Cavalcade is a special event organized directly by Ferrari to give the possibility to its most important members to drive all the brand new Ferraris on the wonderful scenary of the italian roads. This Gran Turismo event is reserved to the most important owners from all over the world, and to take part at the Cavalcade you need to have 5 different Ferraris in your garage.

The Ferrari Cavalcade 2014 was held in the sunny Island of Sicily, an intense and breathtaking region of Southern Italy, climbing Etna, the biggest active Volcano in Europe, driving through history of Greeks and Romans, touching four Unesco World Sites, and having an experience on a local race track, surrounded by the typical flavors of this warm Island.
More than 60 of most imressive Ferraris crew, including the new ONE-OFF Ferrari F12 TRS, drived by the the Ferrari’s President Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, 15 Ferrari 458 Speciale and THREE different LaFerrari have partecipated at this 3rd edition, enjoying beautiful cities like Syracuse, Taormina, Noto, Caltagirone and Agrigento, in the center of the Greek Temples Valley.

In this video a stunning matte black Ferrari 599 GTO with Hong-Kong driving licence plate takes part at the event giving me the possibility to film it in each detail like rims, engine, interior, cavallino logo.

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is a sports car produced by the italian manufacture in Maranello, Modena since 2006 to replace the Ferrari 575M Maranello.
This two-seat flagship is entirely designed by Pininfarina under the direction of Frank Stephenson and was unveiled for the first time at the 2006 Geneva Motorshow.
Its name stands for its displacement (5999 cc) Gran Turismo Berlinetta, and Fiorano is a tribute to the historical private Ferrari Track.

In the 2010 was announced the Ferrari 599 GTO, where GTO stands for GranTurismo Omologato, becoming the third car in the Ferrari’s history to have this designation after the 250 GTO and the 288 GTO. The car is a road legal version of the Ferrari 599XX and Ferrari says that the 599 GTO is their fastest road car ever, able to lap the Fiorano test circuit in 1 minute 24 seconds, one second faster than the Enzo Ferrari.

Its engine produce now 670 hp and 620 Nm of torque, enough to reach the 0-100 Km/h in 3,3 seconds and a max speed of over 340 Km/h.
At the powerful engine we have to add almost 100 Kg less than the standard GTB, with a weight of only 1605 Kg.
One of the most significant innovations on the 599 GTO is the close correlation between the chassis set-up, which is close to the handling limit, and the input from the electronic controls which are developed to increase overall levels of performance.

The production was limited to 599 units, all sold in a week from debout at a basical price of 350.000 €, with 125 produced for the United States market.

At the 2010 Paris Motor Show was introduced a convertible version of the 599 GTO, named Ferrari 599 SA Aperta in honor of the designers Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina. The production was limited to only 80 examples for a price of 1 Million dollars.

The production will end in 2012, when the 599 was replaced by the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, and everybody can’t wait for a Ferrari F12 GTO to follow the footsteps of this awesome car.
