At the 1992 Los Angeles Auto Show was presented the evolution of the Testarossa, named Ferrari 512TR with many exterior innovations, especially in the lights zone, and a powered engine which now develops 428 hp and 491 Nm of torque and obviously new performance: the 512TR goes now from 0-100 Km/h in only 4.9 seconds for a final max speed of over 315 Km/h.

In 2004 the racing project started when Maserati completed 3 MC12 GT1 to partecipate to the FIA GT GT1 CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP. Under the AF CORSE Team and drived by Andrea Bertolini and Mika Salo, the car won many races for a final 7th place in the teams championship in the first year, but winning 6 TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIPS, 2 COSTRUCTORS CHAMPIONSHIP and 6 DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIPS from 2005 to 2009, collecting 40 wins in 94 races.

In the 2008 Ferrari announces a new version named Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE, an upgraded edition with and improved handling. Indeed HGTE stands for Handling Gran Turismo Evoluzione and includes a modified set-up with stiffer springs and rear anti-roll bar as well as new calibration settings for the Delphi MagneRide magneto-rheological shock absorbers when the manettino is at its sportier settings.
