LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO SPYDER – Walkaround 2014 HQ

Here another video from my special week-end spent in Monaco during the last Top Marques. Monaco is for sure the Carspotting Heaven, because you can see over one hundred exotic supercars and hypercars in an ordinary day and certainly in the Top Marques days, having the opportunity to see the exlusive cars engaged in the Test Drives without losing the chance to visit this wonderful city located on the beautiful French Riviera.

The heart of the city, and “The Mecca” for every guy who likes automotive world, is certainly the CASINO SQUARE where there are the mythic Casino de Monte-Carlo and the HOTEL THE PARIS. This places attract the best cars and hypercars of the world making you time spent there unforgettable.

In this video a stunning black Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder with monegasque driving licence plate parked in Place to Casino giving me the possibility to film it in each detail like rims, engine, interior, “toro” logo and to record its noisy and lovely sound while driving.

The Lamborghini Gallardo is an italian sports car built by the manufacture of “The raging bull” in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Bologna since 2003 to replace the Lamborghini Jalpa.
The car is named as a famous breed of fighting bull, as many other Lamborghinis, and born to be the “little” supercar behind the flagship Murcielago.

Presented at the 2002 Geneva Motor Show, indeed, the car mounted a 5.0 litre V10 which deveopped 500 hp and 510 Nm of torque and a six-speed manual trasmission, enough to reach the 100 Km/h in 4,2 seconds for a top speed of 309 Km/h.

This first generation was produced first in the coupè mode and took its design from the Italdesign Giugiaro prototype Calà but, at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show, was unveiled a Spyder version also, powered with 520 hp and sold for a price of 200.000 $.

In the december 2004 two Gallardo were donated to the italian police in honour of the force’s 152nd anniversary. One of this Lamborghini Gallardo Polizia Stradale was destroyed in a crash on the Salerno-Reggio Calabria Highway.

In 2005 two yellow Gallardos have been temporary used by the London Metropolitan Police for specific publicity events, like the Gumball 3000 Rally.

In 2005 was unveiled a limited edition of 250 units, named Lamborghini Gallardo SE, and distinguished by having a black-roofed two-tone color scheme and the Callisto rims.

At the 2006 Paris Motor Show was announced a special edition featured with matte black body panels and completed with a combination of Nero Serapis and Nero Noctis. The car was named Lamborghini Gallardo Nera and was produced in 185 units only.

During the 2007 Geneva Auto Show debuted the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, the name paid tribute to the construction style of the first Lamborghini production model, the 350GT.
The Superleggera was lighter than the base Gallardo by 100 kg via the use of carbon fibre panels for the rear diffuser, undertray, the rearview-mirror housings, the interior door panels, the central tunnel, engine cover; titanium wheel nuts and carbon fibre sports seats. The engine was upgraded to 530 hp thanks to an improved intake, exhaust and ECU, and only 172 units of Superleggera was made.

Since 2007, the Gallardo was entered in FIA GT3 Championship following the footsteps of the Murcielago R-GT and of the Diablo GTR. All the extra aerodynamics were bolt-on parts, conforming with cost-effective regulations that meant the finished car had to closely resemble its road-going counterpart. Brembo racing brakes and OZ Racing wheels were also added. It was converted to Rear Wheel Drive and produced 520 hp and 510 Nm of torque.

The second generation was announced at the 2012 Geneva Motorshow ad was named Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, mounting a new 5,2 litre V10 engine powered with 560 hp and 540 Nm of torque, for a top speed of over 325 Km/h and an incredible acceleration with only 3,7 seconds in the 0-100.
The LP560-4 had a lifting in the 2013 with new front fascias with triangular and trapezoidal forms with diagonal elements in body color and black, larger air intakes ahead of the front wheels, new 19-inch “Apollo polished” alloy wheels in matt black with spokes in polished silver, redesigned rear end with a wider surface area, optional Style Package (high-gloss black paintwork on the underside of the front spoiler, front and rear grilles and the transverse element of the rear trim).

The production ends in 2014, with the launch of the brand new Lamborghini Hurracan LP610-4, and is the best-selling model ever with 14,022 Lamborghini Gallardo sold in every versions.

Complete walk around with each detail like interior, wheels, engine, logo and lights, driving, LOUD and noisy exhaust rev sound.
