AUDI R8 V10 SPYDER – Walkaround in Monaco 2013 HQ

Here another video from my special week-end spent in Monaco last Summer. Monaco is for sure the Carspotting Heaven, because you can see over one hundred supercars and hypercars in a single day without losing the opportuniy to visit this wonderful city located on the beautiful French Riviera.

One of the most exclusive place of the city is for sure the MONTE CARLO BEACH HOTEL, a wonderful place at the end of Monaco at the border with Roquebrune Cap-Martin which offers umbrellas and sunbeds at the seaside. A night in this luxury Hotel costs 500-2.000 €, so only rich people attends it and used to park his amazing supercars in front of Hotel entrace.

In this video a stunning black Audi R8 V10 Spyder with italian driving licence plate takes part at the event giving me the possibility to film it in each detail like rims, engine, interior, four cicles logo.

The Audi R8 is a sports car produced by the german manufacturer since 2007 to be the first real supercar in the company history.

Based on the Audi Le Mans Quattro, a concept car unveiled for the first time at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show, takes its name from the Audi R8 Race Car, the most succesful car all times in the 24h LeMans.

The final Audi R8 was announced at the 2006 Paris Motor Show and was initially equipped with a 4.2 litre V8 engine which developed 420 hp and 430 Nm of torque, enough to reach the 300 Km/h and to go from 0-100 in only 4,6 seconds. At the 4,2 FSI coupe, in the 2011 was added a convertible version named Audi R8 Spyder mounting the same engine powered to 434 hp.

In the 2008 Audi presents a new engine born from the collaboration with Lamborghini and already mounted on the Gallardo LP560-4. This engine was a 5.2 V10 engine which develop on the R8 532 hp and which push the car from 0 to 100 Km/h in only 3.9 seconds with a top speed of over 315 Km/h. Also this time in the 2009 was added a spider version, presented at the Frankfurt Auto Show and named Audi R8 Spyder V10.

The R8 is the flagship of the QUATTRO program and mounts a permanent all-wheel drive system. The 4 wheel drive system is biased towards the rear; it sends 30% of its power to the front wheels and 70% to the rear. The Audi R8 is available with 6 or 7-speed manual shift or with the new 6-speed R-Tronic trasmission.

The strength of this car is for sure its design by Walter de Silva, also father of the Lamborghini Egoista, the Audi TT and of the Volkswagen Scirocco, and which is characterized by a sleek design and by the innovative LED lighting system.

At the 2009 Frankfurt Motorshow was unveiled an incredible concept fitted with four electric motors rated 315 hp and 4500 Nm of torque, named Audi R8 e-Tron.

In the 2010 was unveiled a limited edition of 333 units (plus 333 Spyders) named Audi R8 GT with an increased power of 560 hp and with a weight reduced by 100 kg, sold for a price of 240.000 €.

Other limited edition were produced like the Audi R8 V8 Limited Edition (only 100 made), the R8 Exclusive Selection Editions (50 units) and the R8 China Edition (80 examples).

In the 2008 was unveiled a concept named Audi R8 TDI Le Mans, painted with a Brilliant Red color and fitted with an amazing V12 twin turbo engine with 500 hp and 1000 Nm of torque.

The R8 is also used in the motorsport competitions like the GT Championship (Audi R8 LMS GT3), in the Endurance Series (Audi R8 LMS Ultra) and in the American Races (Audi R8 Grand-Am).

In the 2012 the car had a Facelift mounting a new grille and bumper, new LED headlights, a new S-Tronic 7-speed transmission and new interior. The engine develops now 550 hp and 540 Nm with an increase of performance to over 320 Km/h of max speed.

Complete walk around with each detail like interior, wheels, engine, logo and lights.
