MASERATI QUATTROPORTE I SERIES – MASERATI100 2015 HQ

Here another video from the Day 1 of the Maserati100, the Centenary Gathering of Maserati, and part of the material I’ve recorded when more than 250 supercars have reached PIAZZA GRANDE in Modena, Italy to be exposed and admired so be sure to not miss any of these watching the appropriate playlist I’ve created for.
This is the biggest Meeting in the history of TRIDENTE and saw the partecipation of hundreds of crews from every parts of the world like Europe, China, Russia, Australia and America. This is a Three Days event having its first checkpoint in the city of Maserati Factory (MODENA) where all started in 1914 and where Maserati allowed people to admire all cars with precious like 3 MC12 GT1, classic cars like the Bora, the Merak or Mistral, tens of modern ones like the new Quattroporte, Ghibli and Granturismo MC Stradale and super rare ones like the Boomerang, two 4200GT Spyder 90th Anniversary and a Touring Superleggera Bellagio. In the second day the 100Maserati get to Cremona to race on the SAN MARTINO DEL LAGO Circuit and to reach in the evening Turin. In the third day there will be a prestigious 100th Anniversary Concours of Elegance in PIAZZA SAN CARLO in Superga.

In this video a stunning and rare Maserati Quattroporte I with italian driving licence plate takes part at the event giving me the possibility to film it in each detail like rims, engine, interior, the logo of the “Tridente” and to record its noisy start-up and its lovely sound while driving.

The Maserati Quattroporte is a four-door (in italian “quattro porte” means “four doors”) sports luxury car produced by the italian manufacturer of the Trident since 1963.
Through the years the car received many upgrades and now it’s at its sixth generation, sold for
a medium price of 125.000 € since 2013.

The first generation was unveiled for the first time at the 1963 Turin Auto Show and it was the answer of Maserati to the other luxury saloon by Lancia and Mercedes-Benz.

The design was entirely made by the famous italian designer Pietro Frua, longtime collaborator of the automaker and already father of the Maserati Mistral.

The Maserati Quattroporte I was equipped with a 4.1 litre V8 engine able to produce 256 hp for a top speed of over 230 Km/h, or with a 4.7 litre engine which could produce 295 hp and a top speed of 255 Km/h, making it the fastest four-door sedan in the world at the time. Both were available with a 5-speed manual trasmission or with a 3-speed automatic shift.

The production ended in 1969 with 230 units of the 4.1 and around 500 made of the 4.7.

Complete walkaround with each detail like interior, wheels, engine, logo and lights, driving, LOUD starting-up and really noisy exhaust rev sound.

RECORDED IN SUMMER 2014: September, 18th 2014
