MASERATI GHIBLI SS – MASERATI100 2015 HQ

Here another video from the Day 1 of the Maserati100, the Centenary Gathering of Maserati, and part of the material I’ve recorded when more than 250 supercars have reached PIAZZA GRANDE in Modena, Italy to be exposed and admired so be sure to not miss any of these watching the appropriate playlist I’ve created for.
This is the biggest Meeting in the history of TRIDENTE and saw the partecipation of hundreds of crews from every parts of the world like Europe, China, Russia, Australia and America. This is a Three Days event having its first checkpoint in the city of Maserati Factory (MODENA) where all started in 1914 and where Maserati allowed people to admire all cars with precious like 3 MC12 GT1, classic cars like the Bora, the Merak or Mistral, tens of modern ones like the new Quattroporte, Ghibli and Granturismo MC Stradale and super rare ones like the Boomerang, two 4200GT Spyder 90th Anniversary and a Touring Superleggera Bellagio. In the second day the 100Maserati get to Cremona to race on the SAN MARTINO DEL LAGO Circuit and to reach in the evening Turin. In the third day there will be a prestigious 100th Anniversary Concours of Elegance in PIAZZA SAN CARLO in Superga.

In this video a stunning and rare white Maserati Ghibli SS I Series with italian driving licence plate takes part at the event giving me the possibility to film it in each detail like rims, engine, interior, the logo of the “Cavallino” and to record its noisy start-up and its lovely sound while driving.

The Maserati Ghibli is an italian supercar produced for the first time in 1966 by the manufacturer of Modena of the “Tridente”. The car is now at its third series and it’s for sure one of the well known supercar of the Maserati’s history.

The Maserati Ghibli I Series was a two-door 2+2 grand tourer sports car produced since 1967 to compete with the big rivals Ferrari Daytona and Lamborghini Miura.
The car was unveiled for the first time at the 1966 Turin Motor Show receiving a big success, so much to be proclaimed the Number Nine best TOP SPORTS CARS of the 1960s by the prestigious american magazine SPORTS CAR INTERNATIONAL.

The Maserati Ghibli was powered by a front-placed 4,7 V8 engine which can develop 310 hp, enough to reach the 248 Km/h of top speed with less than 6,8 seconds from 0-100 Km/h, and was available with either a five-speed manual or three-speed automatic transmission.

The design has the famous signature of Giorgetto Giugiaro, at the time working fot Ghia, and was characterized by a low shark-shaped nose. The car also featured pop-up headlamps, leather sport seats and alloy wheels, originally Pirelli Cinturato R15 tyres.

In the 1969 was presented a convertible version named Maserati Ghibli Spyder, produced in only 100 units. In the same year was announced the Maserati Ghibli Spyder SS, a limited edition on only 25 examples featured by 335 hp.

The first generation of the Ghibli went out of production in 1973, when Maserati presented its successor Maserati Khamsin by Bertone and still remain one of the most beloved and rare Maserati ever made, with only 1170 coupe made in 6 years of production.

Complete walk around with each detail like interior, wheels, engine, logo and lights, driving, LOUD starting-up and really noisy exhaust rev sound.
