ef-FLASH SIGHTINGS – FERRARI F430 SPIDER 2012

In the hard world of carspotter to record a good video of every supercar seen is impossible, specially in crazy and busy places like Monaco or London. But some sightings deserve at the same time to be shared, because a supercar is ever a supercar. For this reason I’ve created this new kind of videos dedicated to all brief but good fast spots recorded around the world and, when was possible and when the video is maybe too short to fully appreciate the car, I’ll add some photos to give you the chance to see it better. I leave you to the video hoping that you enjoy my initiative.

And is there something better than a day started spotting a Ferrari near your seaside home? Not for me and certainly for every petrolhead like me because every day started with a spot is a good day.

In this my old video a wonderful red Ferrari F430 spotted in Gioia Tauro (RC), Italy for a brief but good moment.

The Ferrari F430 was produced since 2004 by the italian Prancing Horse to replace the beloved Ferrari 360 Modena. Presented at the 2004 Paris Motor Show was sold originaly in the coupe version only at a price of 175.000 € and it was a real success with over 6.000 units sold.
At the 2005 Geneva Motor Show Ferrari launches a convertible version also, the 21th of its history, based on the coupe and with the same design by Pininfarina.
Both were equipped with the same 4,3 litre V8 engine shared with Maserati Granturismo which develops 490 hp and a torque of 465 Nm for a 0-100 Km/h acceleration of only 4,0 seconds and a top speed of over 320 Km/h.
The trasmission was a 6-speed manual gear but later was launched the Ferrari F430 F1, mounting a 6-speed F1 electrohydraulic manual gear derived from Ferrari’s F1 experience.
This was the first road legal Ferrari mounting the MANETTINO, a steering wheel-mounted control which allowed to select from five driving setting of vehicle’s ESC system.
The brakes system designed with Brembo including a Carbon fibre-reinforced silicon carbide ceramic option.
At the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show Ferrari presented the successor of Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, the Ferrari 430 Scuderia (Limited Edition of 1.200 pieces) leaving Michael Schumacher unveils the car. The Scuderia was lighter by 100 Kg than a normal F430 and more powerful developing 515 hp enough, thanks to a new semi-automatic trasmission also, to push the car to 0-100 Km/h in only 3,6 seconds (same time of a Ferrari Enzo) for a final top speed of over 325 Km/h.
To commemorate Ferrari’s 16th victory in the Formula 1 Constructor’s World Championship, in 2008 Ferrari unveiled a spider version of the Scuderia, named Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M (499 examples made) with 510 hp and approximately the same performance of a 430 Scuderia.
At the 2008 Detroit Motor Show was presented a ethanol fueled concept named Ferrari F430 Spider Bio Fuel with the incredible power of 500 hp.
The Ferrari F430 rappresented the italian automaker in races also with not road legal edition like the F430 Challenge, F430 GTC, F430 GT3 and 430 GT3 Scuderia winning many awards in every competition.
Based on Ferrari F430 two prototypes were made: the first one is a ONE-OFF designed by Leonardo Fioravanti for Pininfarina on commission of the rich japanese business man Junichiro Hiramatsu and was named Ferrari SP1; The second one is which for now is only a prototype of the new Lancia Stratos, designed by Pininfarina.
The production of Ferrari F430 over in 2009, when was replaced by the beautiful Ferrari 458 Italia.

Driving walkaround with sound and acceleration.
