LAMBORGHINI MIURA P400 S | 1 of 338 – MONACO TOP MARQUES 2014 HQ

Here a stunning experience from the craziest supercars auto show of the world: the TOP MARQUES of MONACO. For those never heard about it, I’m talking of the Internation Festival of Luxury of Monte-Carlo, this year at it’s eleventh edition, probably the best ever.
As every year, the event was held in the precious exhibition hall of GRIMALDI FORUM (LE ESPACE RAVEL) under the patronage of His Highness PRINCE ALBERT II, and showed more than 40 of most expensive and exclusive hypercars from each part of the world produced by manufactures like PAGANI, BUGATTI, FERRARI, NOBLE, ZENVO, LAMBORGHINI, MCLAREN or ASTON MARTIN and the best tuned cars from HAMANN, MANSORY, DMC LUXURY, TECHART or GEMBALLA. Were also exposed many previews as the MAZZANTI EVANTRA or the TUSHEK TS600 and over 1 million dollars hypercars like the W-MOTORS LYKAN HYPERSPORT or the ZENVO ST1.
This is only one of tens of videos recorded in the 2014 Editon, so be sure to watch them all from the specific playlist.

In this video a stunning and rare green (VERDE ITHACA) Lamborghini Miura P400 S exposed at the event giving me the possibility to film it in each detail like rims, engine, interior, the logo of the “TORO”.

The Lamborghini Miura is a legendary italian car produced by the manufacturer of Sant’Agata Bolognese since 1966 to the first real supercar in the history of the car house. The Miura takes its name from a fighting bull and is widely considered to have instigated the trend of high performance, two-seater, mid-engined sports cars.

The design was obviously by the famed italian designer Marcello Gandini for Bertone who made other Lambos like the Countach, the Diablo or the Espada and other masterpieces of the automotive history like the DeTomaso Pantera, the Lancia Stratos and the Bugatti EB110.

The Miura was unveiled for the first time at the 1966 Geneva Auto Show in its first version, the Miura P400, collecting a favourable reaction of all the world. The P400 mounted a 3.9 litre V12 engine previously used in the 400GT mounted transversely and able to develop 350 hp and was produced in 275 examples.

At the 1968 Turin Motorshow was presented the evolution of the P400, named Lamborghini Miura P400S (aka Miura S) with a power increase of 20 hp and many updates at the look, especially at the windows and at the headlights. The Miura P400 S has been produced in 338 units.

But the last and most famous version in the Miura P400SV (also known as Miura SV) featured different cam timing and altered carburetors for a power increase of 15 hp, 380 hp in total, a new gearbox with a new type of lubrification and the “eyelashes” around the headlamps. The production of the Miura P400 SV was limited to 150 cars.

A ONE-OFF named Miura P400 Jota, were the Jota stands for “J” in spanish, born in 1970 from the work of the Lamborghini development driver Bob Wallace weighing 40 kg less than a normal Miura thanks to new panels in lightweight aluminium allow Avional.

Another limited edition of five examples named Lamborghini Miura SV/J has been produced based on the Jota, one of these bought by Nicolas Cage. At the 1981 Geneva Autoshow was presented a roofless additional units, the Miura P400 SVJ Spider, finished in pearl white.

At the 1968 Brussels Auto Show Bertone presented a one-off targa model, the Miura Roadster, shown 40 years later at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance winning many prizes.

At the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show was unveiled a commemorative model, the Lamborghini Miura Concept, made to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Miura and designed by Walter de Silva. The Miura concept is now on display at the Lamborghini Museum in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy.

The production of the Lamborghini Miura ends in 1973 with 764 units buit in total, when the car has been replaced by the Lamborghini Countach.
