KOENIGSEGG REGERA – GENEVA MOTOR SHOW 2015 HQ

Here another video from the 85th Edition of the Geneva International Motor Show having place in the swiss city from 5-15 March 2015 and where were exposed more than 800 of the newest supercars of the greatest brands of the world. As every year the people who came at the motorshow was amazed by the incredible premieres and prototypes unveiled in one of the 7 halls of the Palexpo de Geneve, in particoular by the brand new Koenigsegg Regera (the fastest car ever made), the McLaren P1 GTR, the Ferrari 488 GTB and by the Bugatti Veyron LaFinale (the last Veyron produced before to be replaced by the Chiron).

In this video a stunning light blue Koenigsegg Regera exposed in the show giving me the possibility to film it in each detail like rims, engine, interior, the logo.

The Koenigsegg Regera is an amazing plug-in hybrid hypercar produced by the swedish manufacturer of Angelholm since 2015 alongside to the production of the Koenigsegg Agera.

The design is made by Christian von Koenigsegg himself, who decided also the name that means “to reign” in swedish.

The car was unveiled for the first time at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show leaving amazed the people who went at the show being the fastest car ever made. Indeed, the Regera mounts an unique 5.0 litre V8 Twin turbo engine which can produced 1100 hp and 1280 Nm of torque. In addition, the Regera mounts 3 electric motors with a total capacity of 697 hp for a total power of 1822 hp, but only 1500 hp could be used together. At speeds below 30 mph, only the wheel shaft electric motors propel the car through the use of a hydraulic coupling that disconnects the ICE and the crankshaft mounted electric motor. The electric motors are powered by a 9.27 kWh, 620-volt, liquid cooled battery pack developed by Rimac, providing up to 35 km of pure electric mode in city driving.

The Regera doesn’t have a traditional transmission but instead features direct drive where the RPM of the electric motors as well as of the combustion engine is proportional to wheel speed. So the Regera is a 1-speed car with rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive.

The performance are amazing, with a top speed of 450 km/h and only 2,8 seconds from 0 to 100 Km/h, less than 20 seconds from 0-400 Km/h.

The Koenigsegg Regera has a targa top, an active rear wing and the characteristics scissor doors.

The production of the Regera will be limited to 80 units only and each will cost more than 2.0 million dollars.
