HORACIO PAGANI DRIVES HIS HUAYRA IN MONACO 2014 HQ

Here’s another video from my special week-end spent in Monaco during the last Top Marques. Monaco is for sure the Carspotting Heaven, because you can see over one hundred supercars and hypercars in an ordinary day and certainly in the Top Marques days, having the opportunity to see the exlusive cars engaged in the Test Drives without losing the chance to visit this wonderful city located on the beautiful French Riviera.

The heart of the city, and “The Mecca” for every guy who likes automotive world, is certainly the CASINO SQUARE where there are the mythic Casino de Monte-Carlo and the HOTEL THE PARIS. This places attract the best cars and hypercars of the world making you time spent there unforgettable.

In this video the Pagani’s Boss Horacio Pagani drives his Matte grey through Monaco giving me the possibility to film it in each detail like rims, engine, interior, cavallino logo and to record its noisy start-up and its lovely sound while driving.

Horacio Pagani is the founder and the current owner of PAGANI AUTOMOBILI Spa, an Italian specialty auto-maker.
Horacio born in Argentina in 1955 and his father was a baker descended from Italian emigrants. From an early age he enjoyed making cars using balsa wood, the designs of which can now be seen in the Pagani showroom. In 1983, with a letter of recommendation by Juan Manuel Fangio, he moved in Italy and began chief engineer at Lamborghini, where he built the Countach Evoluzione Concept, a car which will never be produced despite the insistence of Horacio. So he borrowed a capital and broke away from the company founding his own consultancy called MODENA DESING which continues to make carbon fiber composites for Formula One cars and clients like Daimler, Ferrari and Aprilia. Pagani Automobili Modena was founded in 1992, producing it’s first supercar, the Zonda, in seven years. In 2010 he unveil his official Monography named “PAGANI, LA STORIA DI UN SOGNO”, editing by Roberto Morelli and which is for sure a good book for those who like the self-made men and the automotive world in general.

Pagani Huayra is an hypercar produced by the italian manufacture in San Cesario sul Panaro, near Modena in the centre of the Motor Valley.
Unveiled at 2011 Geneva Motor Show, was sold since early 2012 to replace the mythic Pagani Zonda, the first and beloved car which made Horacio Pagani’s fortune.
The Pagani Huayra was acclaimed since its debut and it’s regarded as a masterpiece of engeenering destined to remain in automotive history.
Indeed its design, entirely the work of Horacio Pagani, is the exaltation of beauty with detail like door mirrors which remind the woman’s eyes or the entire body which seems modeled from air. And it was the air the biggest inspiration for Huayra’s line, indeed it’s name derives from WAYRA, a word which means “God of the winds” in the official Inca Empire’s language.
Not to ruin its sinuous line, the Huayra has not spoilers but a combination of 4 (two frontal and two in the rear) flaps managed by a dedicated control unit that is fed information from systems such as the ABS and ECU, which pass on information about the car’s speed, yaw rate, lateral acceleration, steering angle and throttle position.
The Huayra is incredible light thanks a full carbotanium monocoque and other light components in aluminum like the 20′ rims and the gull-wings derived from the experimantation on Pagani Zonda R.
The heart of this hypercar is certainly its powerful 6 litre V12 twin-turbo engine in mid-position derived by Mercedes AMG which produces the incredible power of 730 hp and 1.000 Nm of torque. The performance are impressive, with over 375 Km/h of top speed and less of 3,2 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h.
Combined to the engine the Pagani Huayra uses a 7-speed sequential gearbox and a single disc clutch, a bespoke Brembo brake calipers system with four pistons per axle and carbon ceramic rotors and special PIRELLI ZERO tires.
The car has been rewarded with numerous awards like the “HYPERCAR OF THE YEAR 2012” by Top Gear, where was tested by Richard Hammond and where is currently the fastest car to go around the Top Gear Test Track, setting a lap time of 1:13.8.
The Pagani Huayra is handcrafted in all its parts in the original factory with less than 20 units per year and it’s sold to a price of 1.300.000 €, 1,5 millions for the new TRACK PACK edition produced since 2014.

Complete walk around with each detail like interior, wheels, engine, logo and lights, driving, LOUD starting-up and really noisy exhaust rev sound.

Hoping you liked the video and that you want Share, Like and Comment to give me the opporunity improve myself.
