FERRARI MONDIAL QUATTROVALVOLE – Walkaround, start-up and sound 2013

Here’s another video from one of greatest Official Ferrari Meeting in the south Italy, now in its 5th edition. Organized by “ROSSO SCUDERIA CATANZARO”, the biggest Ferrari Club of Calabria located in the wonderful city of Catanzaro, the Calabria’s chief town situated on the Ionio Sea Cost. The event is named “IL FASCINO DELLE FERRARI” and is a Memorial dedicated to Luca Zerilli, a boy died for SMA in 2008, and involves over 30 teams annualy to raise funds to fight this terrible disease.
This year 40 Ferraris from Basilicata, Puglia, Campania, Sicily, Lazio and Calabria atteded to inaugurate also the AMATO KART CIRUIT, so be sure not to miss any of the videos I’ve uploaded in the appropriate playlist.

In this video a stunning classic Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole takes part at the event giving me the chance to film it in each detail like interior, lights, engine and Cavallino Logo and to record its noisy start-up and sound.

The Ferrari Mondial was produced since 1980 to replace the Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 as “little” supercar of the italian Prancing Horse.
This car sets the Ferrari’s return to Pinifarina Design after the brief period marked Bertone getting the fans’s acclamation.
Originally the car was produced in a single version named Ferrari Mondial 8 (only 703 units made) in honor of the 8th F1 Championship won by Ferrari, presented at the 1980 Geneva Motor Show. The car was a 2+2 mounting a 3,0 litre V8 that delevoped 214 hp and a torque of 243 Nm reaching the 100 Km/h in less than 8 seconds for a top speed of over 230 Km/h.
In 1982 Ferrari introduced a new version, the Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole (or Mondial QV made in 1.145 pieces), with a new four-valve head with the combustion chamber design based on the early eighties Formula 1 engine. The power is now of 240 hp with a torque of 260 Nm, enough to push the car to 0-100 Km/h in 7,3 seconds for a top speed of 240 Km/h.
A new spider version, the Ferrari Mondial Cabriolet (only 629 examples produced) was added also in 1983.
At the 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show, Ferrari added a new version named Ferrari 3.2 Mondial (987 coupe made + 810 Cabriolet), mounting a 3,2 litre with 270 hp and the innovative ABS brakes system. The new power is now of 270 hp with 304 Nm of torque and, with a new 5-speed manual trasmission, is enough to push the car to 0-100 Km/ in 6,9 seconds for a max speed of 245 Km/h.
The final Mondial was launched at the 1989 Geneva Motor Show and was named Ferrari Mondial T (858 coupe + 1,017 carbriolet made) and shows a 3,4 litre powered by 300 hp with transverse gearbox and the same longitudinally engine which forming a “T”. Only 6,3 seconds for the Mondial T to reach the 100 Km/h and over 255 Km/h for its top speed.
First to be replaced by Ferrari 456 GT in 1992, a race version of Ferrari Mondial named MONEYTRON was built to partecipate at the prestigious 24h of Spa Francorchamps, driven by Bertrand Gachot and Keke Rosberg and powered by 340 hp.

Complete walk around with each detail like interior, wheels, engine, logo and lights, driving, LOUD starting-up and really noisy exhaust rev sound.

Hoping you liked the video and that you want Share, Like and Comment to give me the opporunity improve myself.
