The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is an italian granturismo produced by the manufacturer of Maranello, Italy since 2004 to replace the Ferrari 456GT.

Unveiled for the first time at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show, the 612 Scaglietti is a two doof fastback coupe with 4-seat, the fastest of the world at its launch.
Its design was entirely made by Frank Stephenson for Pininfarina, already father of the Ferrari F430, of the Maserati MC12 and Quattroporte and of the McLaren MP4-12C and it was an homage to the Ferrari 375 MM of 1954.

The Ferrari 612 is Ferrari’s second all-aluminium vehicle, the first being the 360 Modena, and will be the basis of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. At last comes with a 6-speed manual trasmission or with the F1 Semi-automatic paddle shift system derived from the Formula 1 experience.

The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti mounts the same 5.7 V12 engine of the Ferrari 575M Maranello, powered and with a new copression ratio, which now develops 540 hp and 589 Nm of torque, enough for a 0-100 Km/h acceleration time of only 4,2 seconds with a final top speed of over 320 Km/h.

Its name derive from the italian CARROZZERIA SCAGLIETTI, historical partner of Ferrari since the ’50s, who produce the interior of the 612 in Modena.

In the 2006 was launched a limited edition version of 20 units exclusively for the Japanese marked, named Ferrari 612 Cornes 30th Anniversary Edition, to celebrate the 30th year of importation in Japan. This version includes HGTC package, BLU CORNES special body color and carbon fiber inserts.

At the same year NAIAS Auto Show the italian developer Italdesign Giugiaro presented a concept car based on the 612, named Ferrari GG50 for the 50th anniversary of Giorgetto Giugiaro automobiles.

In the 2007 was presented a limited edition of 60 units named Ferrari 612 Sessanta, made to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the company. It include new 19-inch forged aluminum wheels, black chrome exhaust, F1 trasmission, openable glass-roof a a two-tone paint (Gray+Black or Ruby red+black).

In the 2008 the main Ferrari customer Peter Kalikow commissioned a ONE-OFF based on the Scaglietti and named Ferrari 612 Kappa, using many technical details of the Ferrari Enzo and other exterior news.

The production of the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti ends in the 2011, when was replaced the Ferrari FF, with almost 2000 examples made and sold for a price of 280.000 €.

Complete walkaround with each detail like interior, wheels, engine, logo and lights.
